Unique effects with Architype decors

References

In interior design, it is not only the materials that count, but also how you use them. It is the details that can make a room unique, and the right use of decors can take a design to a whole new level. Architype materials are not just for worktops, floors or wall cladding. Do you know what customised effects you can achieve with the options available in our range? We have prepared an overview of the most interesting possibilities for you!

Thermoforming acrylic solid surface

One of the greatest advantages of GRANDEX acrylic solid surface is its plasticity, which allows for the creation of unusual, curved forms. By thermoforming – i.e. heating the material to a temperature of 150-170°C – the slabs become flexible and can be shaped as desired. As a result, it is possible to make rounded worktops, sinks, washbasins, interestingly shaped reception desks, desks and other building elements.

Backlit slabs

Slab backlighting is a technique that brings out the details of a pattern and emphasises the structure of the material, giving it a whole new dimension. To achieve this, LED lighting is placed behind or under the slab, and the material itself is thinned or milled to allow light to penetrate subtly through its surface. Decors such as Mulen, Patagonia Martinica, Calacatta Dauphine or Ajaccio are particularly suitable for this purpose – their patterns and structure take on depth and three-dimensionality in combination with the backlighting. This solution is perfect for reception desks, kitchen islands or wall cladding, creating a spectacular effect that is eye-catching and memorable.

Fullbody 3D decors made of large ceramic slabs by Keralini

Fullbody 3D decorative finishes are the perfect solution for places where aesthetics and exceptional durability are important. Their unique feature is pigmentation throughout the entire thickness of the slab, thanks to which even in the event of possible minor damage, such as scratches or chipping, the surface still retains a uniform appearance - without exposing another colour underneath. This makes them extremely resistant to heavy use, which is why they are perfect for public spaces, commercial facilities, as well as in homes, especially in kitchens and bathrooms, as flooring, wall cladding or exterior facades.

Bookmatch effect – a mirror image of the pattern

Large ceramic slabs by Keralini enable you to create a book-match effect, which is a true work of art! Some marble vein decors come in two variants: A and B, where one slab is a mirror image of the other. When laid side by side, they create a butterfly/open book effect. This solution is perfect for larger areas, e.g. commercial spaces, but also as a wall covering in a spacious living room. The bookmatch effect turns a wall into an impressive decorative element that gives the impression of an exclusive, symmetrical stone panel.

Continuous pattern

The technology used to produce Caesarstone quartz surface decors allows for a uniform pattern throughout the entire batch, enabling a seamless continuation between consecutive slabs. This allows for a uniform surface, ideal for large projects such as floors, wall cladding or worktops. The lack of visible transitions between the slabs makes the whole look as if it were made of a single, monumental sheet of stone.

Architype decors open up new design possibilities for you. They make a room not only more beautiful, but also more refined and expressive. The effects discussed in today's article will work well in both private and commercial spaces. Use them in your project and see how the right choice can turn a room into a work of art!
