Project | The interplay of colour, light and shine in a project using GRANDEX M-707 A Noble Pearl acrylic solid surface

Can an interior decorated in white and black be interesting? This project proves that it certainly can! The kitchen has been designed with a delicate, elegant aesthetic, dominated by simple forms, calm surfaces and refined details. Why is this interior so impressive? It is thanks to the deliberate use of contrasts. White is obviously in the foreground here, but the distinct black accents act as graphic ‘contours’ that emphasise the lines of the furniture, chair frames, fittings, electrical sockets and built-in elements.

The focal point of this arrangement are elements made of GRANDEX M-707 A Noble Pearl acrylic solid surface. This is a decor from the Marble Ocean collection: subtly pearlescent, with delicately blurred veins, finished with an elegant sheen. This material was used to create a spacious, representative dining table, a countertop and an island. All these elements have been designed to create a very coherent and modern composition.

It is worth paying attention to the selection of accessories and furnishings, which make the whole interior cosy. Bright, comfortable, upholstered chairs, thanks to the rounded lines of their frames, break up the sharpness of the shapes of other furniture. The kitchen cabinets feature aesthetic glazing with vertical grooves, which introduce an interesting play of reflections and textures. A similar solution was used under the table top. The whole arrangement is finished with minimalist decorations and subtle, white, light curtains.

Light plays an important role here. The lighting, both main and task lighting, as well as decorative lighting, has been carefully planned to emphasise the structure and finish of the materials used. Thanks to this, the soft veins and delicate mineral particles of the M-707 A Noble Pearl decor are perfectly accentuated.

An additional advantage of this project is the way in which the materials and colours used influence the perception of space. The light surfaces, the gloss of almost all the design elements and the large, uniform slabs of the table and island create the impression that the interior is larger, more open and spacious. The reflections of light on the polished surface of Noble Pearl enhance this effect, adding lightness to the room. Vertical divisions also play an important role – grooved fronts, slender chair frames, long curtains and glass display cabinets in black frames give the impression that the room is taller.

This is another example of an interior where consistency, thoughtful contrasts and the selection of high-quality materials create an elegant, functional and timeless space.
