HPL Puricelli and large ceramic slabs Keralini as modern materials for facades
References
A properly constructed facade is not only an aesthetic showcase for a building, but above all its protective barrier – resistant to weather conditions, extreme temperatures, moisture, UV radiation and everyday use. This is particularly important in our climate zone, where the four seasons can surprise us with both frost and heat, and heavy rainfall is common.
The materials used on facades must therefore meet high requirements – not only must they look good on the day of installation, but above all, they must retain their technical and aesthetic properties for many years. This is important because any change in this layer of the building is a serious intervention and costly renovation.

Architype offers two materials that are perfect for this role: HPL Puricelli and Keralini large ceramic slabs. In today's article, we will discuss their key features, both functional and visual.
HPL Puricelli laminate is produced by pressing several or a dozen layers of paper impregnated with proprietary resins at high temperature and under high pressure. This gives the material a compact, uniform structure with exceptional strength and resistance to external factors. What particularly distinguishes HPL Puricelli from other façade materials is its excellent resistance to UV radiation, precipitation, extreme temperatures and moisture. The surface of the slabs does not fade, deform or require regular maintenance, which in the context of facades means real savings in long-term operation. Another important advantage of HPL Puricelli is the variety of designs, finishes and colours available. The range includes over 3,000 possible combinations of decors, surface structures and core colours, which means almost unlimited possibilities for matching the slabs to the aesthetics of a given building. HPL can therefore be easily adapted to both modern office buildings and revitalised historic buildings. It is worth noting that Puricelli HPL meets the highest quality and safety standards – it does not contain phenol, is manufactured with respect for the environment and can be disposed of in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. It is a material that combines durability, aesthetics and environmental responsibility – exactly what modern architecture requires.

Large ceramic slabs Keralini is a material made from a mixture of minerals – such as quartz sand, shale and granite – which are pressed and fired at temperatures exceeding 1200°C. This gives Keralini slabs exceptional resistance to weather conditions, UV radiation, frost, water and sudden temperature changes. Their structure is compact, homogeneous and completely non-porous, making them ideal for outdoor use. Sintered slabs do not deform, do not absorb moisture and do not require any special maintenance – even after years of exposure to intense sunlight or heavy rain, they retain their technical and visual properties. The visual aspect is equally important – Keralini is a collection of decors that includes classic marbles, raw concrete and minimalist monochromatic surfaces. They do not contain synthetic resins, are environmentally neutral and meet fire safety standards. Their production and processing are carried out with respect for the environment, and the longevity of the material further reduces the need for renovation or replacement.

Durability and aesthetics – a choice that pays off
Both HPL Puricelli and Keralini large ceramic slabs are materials that perfectly meet the needs of contemporary architecture – responsible, well-thought-out and focused on long-term effects. Both solutions combine high durability with resistance to weather conditions, while offering great design and aesthetic freedom. They are a modern alternative to traditional façade materials – less demanding in terms of maintenance, more visually flexible and, above all, designed with the future in mind.
