Puricelli HPL slabs - a modern, technologically advanced material in Architype's offer

References

In the previous article, we introduced the new quartz surface decors from Avant Quartz, which have recently joined our offer. We are not slowing down! The range is now being expanded to include Puricelli HPL slabs, which have a multitude of versatile applications.

HPL slabs - what are they?

HPL, or High Pressure Laminate, is a type of laminate produced under high pressure. It is formed by combining several or more layers of resin-impregnated core paper and pressing them under high temperature. The resulting material, in addition to its aesthetic properties, is also extremely durable and resistant to external and internal influences. Due to the fusion of all layers, the material becomes uniform, so we can be sure that no delamination will occur. The outer coating is additionally protected by a protective layer, which prevents fading and serves as a barrier against any mechanical damage.

Why is it worth using HPL slabs?

HPL is a material that is readily used in the construction and furniture industries. Here are the most important advantages that contribute to the dynamic growth of their popularity:

  • A surface free of pores and micro-cracks, so that pathogenic microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and viruses do not have the opportunity to penetrate the slab and grow.
  • Puricelli products are manufactured in harmony with ecology. The offered HPL slabs are environmentally friendly and do not contain phenol, a toxic and corrosive substance (the absence of phenol content is confirmed by a certificate).
  • The production process must meet the high requirements of European quality standards.
  • A wide range of colors, as well as the ability to create a new decor, fully in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Resistance to very high temperatures and even fire.
  • High resistance to mechanical damage, dirt and moisture.
  • Easy to keep clean, low maintenance.
  • In countertops made of HPL slabs, edge treatment is not necessary.
  • Each board of a given color/decor is of the same shade, so the joints between them are invisible.

Where are HPL slabs being used?

HPL is a versatile material with many applications. Here are the most important areas in which they are used:

  • interior parts of buildings:
    • wall cladding,
    • doors with concealed frames,
    • countertops, islands and kitchen furniture,
  • commercial applications:
    • restroom cabins,
    • cabinets (e.g., in locker rooms),
    • partitions in offices,
    • laboratory furniture,
    • schools, offices, warehouses, factories,
  • exterior parts of buildings:
    • ventilated facades,
    • building facade elements,
    • gates, fences,
    • benches,
    • cladding of balconies,
    • garden, terrace furniture (intended for outdoor use).

Puricelli's HPL is a material that makes an excellent addition to our portfolio. In future publications, we will discuss in more detail the details of Puricelli products, including manufacturing technologies, certifications, storage and transportation recommendations, processing methods, available collections and technical specifications. In addition, we will outline the main reasons why HPLs are used in specific sectors.
